SOCIAL EVENTS THROUGH THE YEAR IN DUNMOW

In addition to our visits to and from France we hold a series of social events.  We normally offer a free welcome drink; further drinks are available at reasonable prices.  Any profit goes towards the cost  of entertaining our Dourdan friends in May.

Fish & Seafood Supper
A plate of seafood and/or fish with salad, plus an enjoyable social evening with musical accompaniment.

Burns Supper

We focus on the fun aspects of Burns Night: piping in and addressing the haggis (eaten with genuine Scots accompaniments).    Always a sell-out, so book early!

Flitch Trials & Carnival
We have a stall at each of these major Dunmow events, to meet with members and potential members.  You are welcome to join us in manning the stall.

We also run other events from time to time.  These have included a very successful Forties Dance (fancy dress optional but fun!), with dancing to the 18-piece Walden Big Band.  Our guests included enthusiasts with genuine WWII uniforms and vehicles, adding interest and authenticity.
